Discover Your Behavioral Style

The most popular psychology test for measuring behavioral styles is the DISC assessment. You can find dozens of versions online. But all of them are based on a theory of behavioral types proposed by William Moulton Marston, the psychologist who also invented the lie detector test.

The four styles are Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. The first letter of each makes up the acronym DISC.

By knowing your DISC style, you’ll gain an understanding of the way people see your behavior. By being able to recognize the DISC style of others, you’ll be able to consciously modify your behavior to avoid conflict scenarios and create a happier and more harmonious work environment.

As explained in the book Dream Job Discovery, you’ll be able to use your behavioral style results to filter out job roles that would not be a good fit for your dream job.

Having tested several online versions of the DISC assessment, we recommend that you take either of the following options for best results:

1. Everything DiSC®

This is the self-assessment developed by Wiley, who has been researching and analyzing DiSC for over 40 years. Wiley differentiates their assessment from other online versions by using their signature lower-case “i” in DiSC. The online assessment takes about 20 minutes to complete and requires an investment of $72. You will receive a comprehensive report with your results.
